Louise Mahler

LouiseMahlerLouise Mahler is an expert on the topic of “dealing with difficult people.” Often referred to as the “female Allan Pease” Louise was identified by IBM as one of 50 creative leaders globally. Louise received the highest ranking speaker ever at The CEO Institute and was Listed in the Who’s Who of Australian Women.

Louise is a highly sought after keynote speaker, corporate trainer, and executive coach internationally. Her signature style is fun and candid, full of high doses of humour, reflection, energy and passion. Participants can’t help but get involved in her highly interactive sessions; conservative corporate audiences find themselves breaking patterns and doing things they never thought they would and come out bigger people through the experience.

An expert in the psychology of face-to-face engagement, Dr Mahler will make you cry with laughter with her impersonations and analysis of the most senior leaders in Australia from federal politicians, corporate leaders, sports stars and international film actors. In fact, she has worked with many of them!

She has coached and trained CEOs and management teams, corporate and government employees, doctors, and even cancer patients in the tools of Vocal Intelligence. She considers the voice to be “a complex creative tool for effective personal and professional development and even a source of deeper organisational understanding and cultural awareness.”

Louise shares with the audience new and simple techniques to manage their state, resulting in an integrative and transformative vocal practice.

John Doherty

PHOTO OF JOHN DOHERTYJohn Doherty was admitted to the South Australian role of legal practitioners in 1982. Since that time, he has practised law as both solicitor and barrister for 32 years. He is currently the principal of the law firm Dohertys (Barristers & Solicitors) in Adelaide. John came to prominence in respect of the Garibaldi food poisoning epidemic in 1995.

He represented 22 of the worst affected children from that epidemic. These children were characterised by resultant Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome (“HUS”). The Garibaldi epidemic was if not the worst, one of the most prominent and devastating food poisoning epidemics in Australia.

The resultant class action led by John resulted in the maximum of Garibaldi’s insurance indemnity being made available for the children. The epidemic and resultant litigation precipitated the escalation and consolidation of HACCP in Australia into the prominent and world leading protocol it enjoys today.

Since that time, John has been regularly called upon to provide ongoing education in respect of all matters arising out of such epidemics. He provides focus on how to manage the recall process, liaising with statutory bodies and the media and the all important insurance repercussions.

He promises to be an entertaining speaker, and in view of the great interest in the epidemic, will provide a narrative as to the epidemics origins, its course and the aftermath. Attendees, looking to further understand the importance and effect of their work, will appreciate John’s presentation.
